Helping candidates prepare effectively for the TEFAQ (The French Evaluation Test Adapted to Quebec: a test designed by the Paris-Île-de-France Chamber of Commerce that is recognized by the Ministère de l’immigration et des communautés culturelles du Québec (MICC) and by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). Simulation of the TEFAQ oral examination.The course allows candidates to practice with the help of a teacher to successfully complete the TEFAQ by doing : To obtain permanent resident status, candidates must have attained level B2 and obtain between 37 and 46 correct answers out of 60. To become a Canadian citizen, candidates must have attained level B1 and obtain between 25 and 36 correct answers out of 60. The TEFAQ preparation course focuses on the two mandatory parts of the TEFAQ: speaking and listening, but also builds on the other skills, namely reading comprehension and written production. Can describe an event, an experience or a dream, describe a hope or a goal and briefly state reasons or explanations for a project or idea. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst traveling in an area where the target language is spoken. Prerequisite: Have a B1 level of French: can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. * Please note that the course focuses on preparation for the TEFAQ it is not a grammar, vocabulary or pronunciation course.
